It’s been a difficult few weeks as I prepare to leave my job as a primary school teacher after 24 years. I’m going to miss the children, their parents, my fellow teachers and TAs immensely, but the paperwork? Not one bit!

My husband is getting a little concerned as I stack up a few fleeces in an unused part of our garden, when I say a few, I mean 60 or so. Don’t! It’s sheep and alpaca shearing time and I have to snap these beauties up whilst they’re available! So far I’ve collected Valais Blacknose, Cotswold, Shropshire, Texel, Devon Closewool, Jacob and alpaca - they are lush...but a little pungent!

I‘m throwing myself whole-heartedly into a new way of life - I’m a little scared but tremendously excited at the same time! I’ll pop some photos of my hand spun yarn below - feeling chuffed! 😊🧶
