Juggling my time!

It’s been a busy few days - juggling my main job, my children’s home learning, being a mum, crochet, knitting, spinning and embroidery!
A lovely friend has asked me to create an embroidery of her home and surrounding countryside - I’m a little apprehensive as it’s a huge task, but excited at the same time! I’m having a go at a few smaller versions before I embark on her piece. I’ve become an expert at French knots and am learning new stitches all the time - steep learning curve! I recently saw some sewing hoops that had been beautifully covered in colourful material - may have to dig my glue gun out and give it a go myself! Watch this space!

On my knitting needles I’ve got some gorgeous pink alpaca yarn - eventually it will be a pink scarf/wrap and I’m hoping to add a cream crochet border with bobbles. I’m on my third attempt at the wrap - started on number 5 needles (as recommended by the yarn) but it felt too tightly knit, moved on to size 6, still not happy, and I’m now on size 7s and it’s going well!

It’s time to go and feed the children - looking forward to some apple crumble and custard! Happy crafting,
Claire
