It's been a month of birthday cushions!

Alongside Lonk fleece spinning, I was asked to make a 90th birthday cushion for a much-loved uncle in Leicestershire. I was given a list of his many interests and the names of his close family...then I set to work. First job was to create sketches (the easy bit), then I had to turn those sketches into crochet squares. I had SO much fun!

I got to sew on my first 'Bumble-Jip Cottage Crafts' label too, which took a few attempts, but practise makes perfect!
I was also asked to create a 21st birthday cushion for a lovely friend's daughter (I had the pleasure of teaching her many years ago) and I was thrilled to be asked! As an animal lover, her cushion had to be full of horses, dogs, cats and rabbits, and for the record, those rabbits were two of the most difficult things I have ever crocheted - lots of love, care (and swearing) went into their creation!
Alongside crafting, we made an exciting addition to our little (but ever growing) family....
meet Luna! Here she is helping me give Marmaduke the Morris a bit of a clean. Our other pup, Bertie, isn't completely sure about her yet but I've assured him they'll become the best of friends!

Happy crafting!
Claire😊
